Ground floor: living room with patio doors, kitchen.
First floor: 2 double bedroom. bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.
Outside: small garden and parking for 2 cars.
The sitting room has open fire, beams, and juliette balcony overlooking the river and the kitchen is fully equipped. Upstairs are two charming double bedrooms and bathroom with a full-sized bath with shower.
It is a fabulous quiet and relaxing location where you can enjoy the many sights and sounds of the river and view the famous Settle to Carlisle Railway line from the Juliet balcony or from your bedroom window. Sightings of kingfishers and otters are often reported but cannot be guaranteed.
Helwith Bridge is situated in the heart of the famous Three Peaks area of the Yorkshire Dales, and is close to the welcoming Helwith Bridge Inn.
The surrounding countryside is magnificent with numerous walks of all calibre right from the doorstep including the famous Three Peaks Challenge.
To the North the Settle-to-Carlisle Railway crosses the famous Ribblehead viaduct, a magnificent piece of railway history completed in 1870. The structure is not to be missed and the sight of a steam train crossing is unforgettable.
The Helwith Bridge Fly Fishery, a 4.5 acre, 30ft deep lake, offers a peaceful spot for keen fishermen just across the road from the cottage.
Nearby Austwick has a wonderful village shop and an award-winning inn, whilst the village of Horton-in-Ribblesdale contains a lovely Norman church and two pubs. The nearby market town of Settle, just four miles down the road, offers a wide variety of pubs and restaurants.
A gentle 2.5 mile riverside walk gets you to the Horton Cafe, famous amongst walkers as the place to register your departure and return when completing the 3 Peaks Walk.
Other local attractions such as Malham Cove, Gordale Scar, Clapham Cave and Gaping Ghyll are within easy reach, as are the nearby Dales towns of Skipton and Malham and the delightful villages of Ingleton and Hawes.
The cottage has full central heating and also a welcoming coal fire is set for arrivals with coal and kindling provided at cost (payment by honesty box).

Settle is a small market town in Yorkshire, England. It has become popular as a tourist location in the area and is located not far from Langcliffe, Giggleswick, Long Preston, Horton-In-Ribblesdale, Austwick, and Hellifield and is one of over two hundred towns and villages in Yorkshire in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The closest cities are Lancaster (population 45,952), Manchester (population 394,269), and Ripon (which has a population of 16,468 according to the 2001 Census).
